The alleged shooter is a 78-year-old man who is presently undergoing questioning by detectives.
As per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the collision involved only the pilots of the two planes.
DPS Sgt. Shana Clark has stated that the injuries seem to be non-life-threatening.
The sheriff says there were three young children in the apartment at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.
The deceased victims have been identified by BGPD officers as Zhichun Huang, 36, of Bowling Green, and Bing Luan Lin, 40, also of Bowling Green.
No arrests have been made, but police said they are working to gather more information.

Currently, there is no perceived threat to the public.
As of now, the suspect remains at large and has not been apprehended.
The victim was discovered with a gunshot wound on Townline Avenue in the 200 block by sheriff’s deputies around 8:00 p.m. on Friday night.
