An individual is in custody following a morning shooting on the Las Vegas Strip on New Year’s Eve.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified that the incident took place in the 100 block of East Harmon Avenue at approximately 5:55 a.m., with no reported injuries at present.

The person of interest in the shooting has been recognized as 45-year-old Jon Letzkus.

Metro affirmed his apprehension around 10:45 a.m., assuring there is “no further public safety threat.”

Information regarding the shooting remains undisclosed at this time.

Harmon Avenue will remain sealed between Las Vegas Boulevard and Koval Lane until further notice.
