Timira Pullom found shot to death inside a southwest Birmingham home

In the early hours of Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded in a southwest Birmingham residence.

At 12:45 a.m., officers from the West Precinct were called to a report of a shooting in the 3700 block of Pine Avenue S.W. Upon entering the home, police discovered an unresponsive woman.

Tragically, Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service declared her deceased at the scene.

According to Officer Truman Fitzgerald, investigators suspect that the victim was shot in the course of a domestic incident.

As of now, the suspect remains at large and has not been apprehended.

Sources to Channel3 NOW confirms the victim’s identity as Timira Pullom.

She marks the city’s 92nd homicide this year. Among those, one was a shooting involving an officer from an external law enforcement agency, and seven others have been determined as justifiable, hence not considered criminal.

Across all of Jefferson County, there have been 131 homicides, encompassing the 92 cases in Birmingham.
