At least 7 people shot at graduation gathering at Casey Lake Park in North Saint Paul, Minnesota

On Saturday, May 25, 2024 at approximately 10:44 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of 17th Avenue on a report of an assault involving shots fired near Casey Lake Park.

With assistance from Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Maplewood PD, Oakdale PD, Woodbury PD, State Patrol, White Bear Lake PD, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and St. Paul PD, Officers learned a group of people had gathered at Casey Lake Park earlier in the evening.

While the group was gathering at the park, shots were fired, seven people were injured, and went to a nearby hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

  • 19-year-old male shot in the foot
  • 24-year-old female shot in the hip
  • One victim shot in the groin
  • One victim shot in the leg
  • Three victims self-transported to the hospital and the extent of their injuries is unclear

The North St. Paul Police Department, along with assistance from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, are currently following up with witnesses and gathering evidence, as well as following up on leads for possible suspect(s).

Based on the preliminary investigation there is no known active threat to the public. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
