Shooting and stabbing incident reported at Lillian Park in Barstow

Earlier this evening, District 49 was notified of a significant incident that occurred at Lillian Park in Barstow.
Initial reports indicate that there was a shooting and stabbing incident near the park. Currently, the Barstow PD is conducting an investigation into the matter.
During the incident, a baseball game was underway between teams from Barstow Baseball LL and Silverlakes LL.
The game was promptly stopped, and everyone at the park was safely evacuated. Fortunately, we have been informed that no players, coaches, or spectators were injured.
As a precautionary measure, all games scheduled to be played at Lillian Park have been canceled with immediate effect.
League officials will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow with Barstow city officials to discuss relocating all games to Barstow Sportspark and to devise a plan for future events.
District 49 is actively collaborating with Barstow Baseball LL, Silverlakes LL, and law enforcement agencies and will provide support as necessary.
