16-year-old Jayden Scales-Amiker and 35-year-old Marvin Archie killed in Richland County shooting

The Richland County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identities of two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident on Thursday afternoon within a neighborhood adjacent to Decker Boulevard.

Investigators from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department verified that a 16-year-old juvenile and a 35-year-old man were declared deceased at the scene.

Additionally, a 14-year-old sustained gunshot wounds in the 100 block of Angel Garden Way.

Later, Coroner Naida Rutherford verified that the deceased individuals were Marvin D. Archie, aged 36, and Jayden Scales-Amiker, aged 16, both residents of Columbia.

The shooting, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on April 11.
