Two Hennepin County officers have been injured in a shooting incident at 13000 Crestwood Dr., East Minnetonka, Minnesota.

The latest update indicates that they are “OK” at the hospital. The suspect is reportedly deceased, although the situation is still ongoing.

A shelter-in-place directive has been enforced for a Minnetonka neighborhood following a shooting incident.

Quoting the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Emergency Management Agency stated on early Wednesday afternoon that the alert was issued for the 13000 block of Crestwood Drive East.

Authorities have indicated that the shooting is contained within a residence, prompting residents to steer clear of the area.

While the “situation is contained” and there’s no immediate threat to public safety, the Minnetonka Police Department has affirmed that the neighborhood encompassing Crestwood Drive and Mayview Road remains under the shelter-in-place mandate.

Additionally, there’s a significant law enforcement presence outside Hennepin Healthcare in downtown Minneapolis, linked to the Minnetonka shooting.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
