24-year-old Destiny Jones killed after shooting at Vegas Knights in Columbia
Two other men involved in the altercation were shot and subsequently treated at a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
The woman who lost her life in the Vegas Knights Club shooting on Sunday morning has been identified by the Richland County Coroner’s Office.
Coroner Naida Rutherford confirmed that the victim was 24-year-old Destiny Jones.
According to authorities, the incident occurred shortly after 5 am on Sunday at Vegas Knights on River Drive.
Richland County deputies were called to respond to a reported fight involving a weapon, but by the time they arrived, the situation had already concluded.
Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, three individuals departed for the hospital, as reported by authorities.
Jones sustained fatal injuries after being shot in the upper body, as confirmed by officials.
Additionally, two other men involved in the altercation were shot and subsequently treated at a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
