Stacey Graves, the Kansas City Police Chief, verified that at least one individual lost their life in a shooting that occurred at the conclusion of a celebration following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory.

The shooting took place on the west side of Union Station.

Upon arrival, officers apprehended two individuals and promptly provided assistance to those injured.

Officials are uncertain about the precise number of wounded individuals but estimate it could be between 10 to 15, according to Graves.

She also mentioned that she currently lacks further information about the victims’ conditions and does not believe any of them were children.

Law enforcement is actively clearing the surrounding areas near the incident.

Mayor Quinton Lucas stated during a news conference that all Kansas City Chiefs players, coaches, and staff are safe and have been accounted for following the shooting at the conclusion of the Super Bowl celebration rally.

Police Chief Stacey Graves also mentioned that over 800 law enforcement officers were present at the event to ensure public safety.

Witnesses described hearing sounds resembling fireworks before a scene of “sheer panic” ensued.

Police have urged anyone in the vicinity to evacuate promptly to facilitate victim treatment and enable the continuation of their investigation.
