Magnitude 6.3 earthquake strikes Naalehu, Hawaii

Some tremors were felt in Honolulu on the island of Oahu, approximately 200 miles (322 kilometers) to the north.

On Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurring just south of the Big Island of Hawaii.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located 11 miles (18 kilometers) south of Naalehu, Hawaii, with a depth of 6 miles (10 kilometers).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center indicated that no tsunami was anticipated.

Some tremors were felt in Honolulu on the island of Oahu, approximately 200 miles (322 kilometers) to the north.
