Update: The suspect was discovered deceased in the Waipahu area. Pali Momi Medical Center and all nearby Hawaii Pacific Health facilities have now lifted the lockdown.

Honolulu police have initiated a homicide investigation in the vicinity of Pearlridge Center in Aiea.

The police responded to a call in the 98000 block of Pali Momi Street, initially categorized as a probable active shooter incident.

As of 11:15 a.m., HPD confirmed the occurrence of at least one fatality, and no arrests have been reported. Official details are currently limited.

Witnesses reported multiple gunshots, accompanied by the sound of children screaming.

A source with knowledge of the investigation revealed to Island News that a child informed the police that her mother was on the ground, bleeding, and her father had fled.

According to the source, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

As a precautionary measure, Pali Momi Medical Center, Pali Momi Cancer Center, Pali Momi Pavillion, and the Straub Pearlridge Clinic are currently on lockdown due to the shooting.
