Reports of incident at Plaza West Covina

Cell phone footage captured a brawl at the West Covina Mall around 3 pm. The video shows a man being assaulted by multiple individuals. The disturbance led shoppers to flee the mall in panic, mistakenly believing there was an active shooter.

A witness at the scene reported an active shooter at the West Covina mall. We were on the verge of entering when an individual halted us and instructed us to leave, citing an ongoing shooting incident inside the mall. This has just occurred.

Toni McNeil received an urgent message: “Hey, family, immediate prayer request! Preslie and I were at the indoor playground at the West Covina mall about five minutes ago and just left. We were there with my best friend, Julisa, and her son. Julisa called about 5 minutes ago and said that she’s still there, and there’s an active shooter at the mall. They have them hidden in the back. Please, family, pray for them and everyone in the mall that no one gets hurt. Pray that this active shooter is brought to his knees by the police. In the name of Jesus.”

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
