46-year-old John Bartrom, founder and owner of Jericho Home Improvements killed after shooting in Kansas City

The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) revealed that a person of interest has been apprehended in connection with the case.

The proprietor of a Kansas City remodeling company, frequently featured in well-known commercials in the region, passed away following a shooting on Sunday morning, as reported by his sister and two other sources to Channel3 NOW.

Authorities received a call for a medical emergency in the vicinity of 63rd Street and Prospect Avenue just after midnight on Sunday.

Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old John Bartrom lying on the ground.

EMS transported Bartrom to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Subsequently, the police confirmed that he had been shot.

Expressing deep sorrow, Bartrom’s sister, Nora Schwartz, stated, “We are heartbroken over the loss of our brother. John was loved by those around him.

He lived a big life and had so much more to give. Our family will never be whole again.” Bartrom established Jericho Home Improvements and took pride in upholding the “absolute highest standards for craftsmanship and professional service” within his company.

“We have no comment at this time as everything is currently under investigation,” stated a woman who answered the phone at Jericho Home Improvements on Monday morning.

Detectives are actively trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the 46-year-old’s death.
