3-year-old Ramone killed, 7-year-old Jamiyah wounded after shooting at Buffalo gathering

Tragedy struck Schiller Park Friday night as a shooting left a young boy dead and his sister injured.

According to Buffalo Police, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on the first block of Domedion Avenue, south of Genesee Street.

Officers from the Ferry-Fillmore District secured the scene and launched a search for the suspect.

A Buffalo Police spokesperson reported that two children, a 3-year-old boy named Ramone and a 7-year-old girl named Jamiyah, were shot during an outdoor gathering.

Ramone was later pronounced dead at ECMC, while Jamiyah is currently being treated at Oishei Children’s Hospital.

The Buffalo Police have not released information about a suspect or a motive for the shooting.
