A Flash Flood Emergency has been issued for parts of northwestern Miami-Dade and southeastern Broward counties.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY!

Life-threatening flash flooding is occurring in low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have fallen in the past 5-6 hours, with an additional 8 inches possible in the next few hours.

This could result in up to 17 inches of rain in a very short period, leading to massive, life-threatening flooding.
