35-year-old Ulias Kornegay charged with murder in Albany shooting that left 36-year-old Kwon Lillard dead
He was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and Remanded to the Albany County Jail.
A 35-year-old Latham man has been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred on Friday, May 24, 2024 on Broadway.
On Friday, May 24, 2024 around 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Broadway and North First Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located 36-year-old Kwon Lillard in the parking lot of 1118 Broadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
Lillard was treated by emergency medical personnel and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Ulias Kornegay was identified as a suspect in the shooting following an investigation and taken into custody this morning by Albany detectives.
Kornegay has been charged with one count of Murder 2nd.
He was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and Remanded to the Albany County Jail.
