Eliot Flores and Jashaun Morgan killed after shooting near downtown Grand Rapids bar

A third person arrived at a separate hospital by private means and is receiving treatment.

A shooting in Grand Rapids’ downtown entertainment district early Sunday morning left two people dead and another injured.

The Grand Rapids Police Department responded to the scene on the 200 block of Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW just before 1:00 am.

Officers located one man deceased at the scene.

Medics transported another victim to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The two victims killed have been identified as Eliot Flores and Jashaun Morgan.

A third person arrived at a separate hospital by private means and is receiving treatment.

The shooting occurred in the entertainment district near the Tin Can bar and The Intersection venue. On Sunday around 3:00 am, investigators were spotted entering and leaving the Tin Can bar as part of their ongoing investigation.
