40-year-old Shayla Jones killed after shooting in Montgomery
There is currently no information on a suspect or motive.
The woman killed in a double shooting on Sunday afternoon has been identified as 40-year-old Shayla Jones from Montgomery, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of South Union Street shortly before 4 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found Jones in critical condition and another woman with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both were transported to a local hospital, where Jones succumbed to her injuries, according to investigators.
There is currently no information on a suspect or motive.
