42-year-old Steve Yarbrough arrested for the shooting death of Catara Yarbrough in Lebanon

East Tennessee authorities report the arrest of Steve Yarbrough, 42, who was wanted for a homicide. Yarbrough surrendered peacefully to Lebanon Police Officers at noon today, May 18th.

His green truck was located in Hickman County.

Authorities revealed overnight that 42-year-old Steve Yarbrough is a suspect in a fatal shooting.

The incident occurred in an apartment complex shortly before 12:30 am on Saturday morning. A woman was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital.

In their search for Steve Yarbrough, police issued a public warning to residents of West Tennessee, particularly Jackson, Tennessee, where Yarbrough reportedly has ties.

The alert cautioned residents about Yarbrough and advised them to exercise caution.

Around 12:26 a.m., officers responded to 502 Fairview Avenue, The Ridge Apartments, in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a female who had been shot multiple times.

The female was quickly transported to Vanderbilt-Wilson, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The investigation has revealed that Steve Yarbrough shot the victim, his wife, multiple times and fled the scene.
