Following a shooting at a west Tulsa apartment complex, one individual has passed away and a nearby school was placed on lockdown.

Subsequently, a prolonged standoff unfolded, during which police apprehended Brent Austin Dean, the alleged perpetrator of the shooting.

Dean was later taken into custody and booked into Tulsa County jail without bond on charges including two counts of pointing a deadly weapon, shooting with intent to kill, and first-degree murder.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police received numerous reports of a shooting at an apartment complex close to 17th and Southwest Boulevard.
