A 14-year-old lost their life after reportedly approaching a Wisconsin middle school with what appeared to be a long gun and engaging with police on Wednesday morning, according to sources.

The teen, identified as Damian Haglund, triggered reports of an active shooter outside Mount Horeb Middle School.

Authorities are currently searching a vehicle linked to the suspect for evidence with the assistance of bomb technicians.

The Mount Horeb Area School District stated that the threat outside the building has been “neutralized,” and no injuries have been reported, except for the alleged assailant.

The suspect took their grandfather’s car, crashed it into a house, then proceeded on foot to the middle school where they fired a few shots outside.

A backpack suspected to belong to the shooter has been discovered, along with eleven or more expended casings.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
