Law Enforcement Officers Disperse University of South Florida Protesters with Tear Gas and Rubber Bullets in Tampa
Several arrests have been reported.
Riot-gear-clad law enforcement officers in Florida are employing tear gas and rubber bullets against protesters at the University of South Florida.
Amidst instructions to disperse and a declaration of an unlawful assembly, multiple rounds of tear gas and rubber bullets were fired at a group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered on the Tampa campus.
Witnesses report that many students, equipped with umbrellas as shields, formed a circle with linked arms, but most dispersed when confronted.
Nonetheless, several arrests have been reported.
