A teenage girl has been apprehended on suspicion of attempted murder after an altercation on school premises resulted in injuries to three individuals.

Two teachers and a teenage student were hospitalized following the incident at Ysgol Dyffryn Amman in Carmarthenshire on Wednesday morning, all having sustained stab wounds.

Channel3 NOW has been informed that one of the injured teachers is Fiona Elias.

Dyfed-Powys Police announced on Wednesday evening that the injuries were not life-threatening.

As a result of the incident, the school will remain closed on Thursday.

Authorities have detained a teenage girl under suspicion of attempted murder, following an incident where she allegedly stabbed two teachers and a young pupil with a butterfly knife.

It is believed that a Year Nine pupil was taken into custody, handcuffed, for questioning in connection with the attempted murder.

Both teachers were airlifted to the hospital after what the police described as a β€œmultiple stabbing” at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman (Aman Valley School).

Dyfed-Powys Police have stated that the injuries sustained by the two teachers and the pupil are not life-threatening.
