31-year-old Renn Hudson stabbed to death in north St. Louis

In north St. Louis, a man tragically lost his life following a violent altercation with his girlfriend early Sunday morning.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers discovered the victim, 31-year-old Renn Hudson, inside a vehicle on Riverview Drive around 1:30 a.m.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The victim’s girlfriend, a 28-year-old woman, recounted to police that she and her boyfriend had been driving when their argument escalated.

The man reportedly stopped the vehicle at North Riverfront Park, where he began physically assaulting her by repeatedly striking her and choking her.

In an act of self-defense, the woman revealed that she pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

The ongoing investigation has been taken over by the Homicide Division, as confirmed by the police.
