Luis Alfredo Pacheco, the son of Alfredo Pacheco, who holds a prominent position similar to the Speaker of the House in the Dominican Republic, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Southeast Houston last night.

He succumbed to his injuries, while another individual was transported to the hospital.

Hailing from the Cristo Rey neighborhood of Gran Santo Domingo, Luis Alfredo Pacheco Rojas, born in 1992, pursued a career in urban music under the pseudonym “El Pikante”.

Aged 34, Luis Alfredo, one of the congressman’s five sons, was known for tracks like “A mí no” and “Sonido Feo”.

Throughout his musical journey, he teased collaborations with artists such as Chimbala, and in 2015, he dropped the single “Andamos burlao”, produced by Manuel DH.

At different points in his life, he resided outside his homeland, the Dominican Republic. He spent five years in Atlanta, Georgia, endeavoring to establish himself musically, before returning to promote his track “A mí no”.

At the time of his passing on April 1, Luis Alfredo was employed as a DJ at a nightclub in Houston.

While traveling during the late hours, he was ambushed by four individuals armed with rifles, who fired multiple shots at him.

However, this tragic incident wasn’t the first instance of violence involving the young artist.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
