A 911 caller has reported a yet-to-be-verified incident at Beach 19th St & Mott Ave.

Authorities are currently investigating an unconfirmed report of an officer requiring assistance.

Subsequently, police have confirmed an officer-involved shooting and are coordinating a response to transport the wounded officer to a nearby hospital.

Both an officer and a suspect have been confirmed shot. Emergency medical services have been urgently requested.

Dispatch has indicated that the injured officer may be affiliated with the NYC Department of Corrections.
