36-year-old Jasmine Armstrong shot and killed in Temple, suspect found dead with a self-inflicted shot

The pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed on I-35 northbound near mile marker 324.

The Temple Police Department has named the individuals involved in the fatal shooting incident in Temple on Saturday morning.

Jasmine Armstrong, 36, was identified as the victim, while the suspect was identified as Britain Armstrong, 38.

Authorities were called to the scene on Broken Shoe Trail around 7:55 a.m. in response to the shooting.

Upon arrival, they discovered a woman who had been shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

TPD confirmed that there were no other injuries reported.

After conducting their preliminary investigation, Temple police identified a suspect.

Upon broadcasting the suspect’s information and vehicle description, Belton police located the suspect’s vehicle, triggering a police pursuit.

The pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed on I-35 northbound near mile marker 324, and the driver was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
