19-year-old Brad Bogard killed in LaBelle police shooting

The individual involved in the LaBelle deputy shooting has been named as 19-year-old Brad Bogard.

As per the Hendry Sheriff’s Office, deputies had endeavored to stop a driver believed to have stolen the vehicle on Friday night.

Allegedly, Bogard struck a deputy with the car, resulting in the deputy landing on the windshield.

In an attempt to halt the vehicle, deputies resorted to firing at it.

The driver was hit and subsequently taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later on.

According to HCSO, the deputy struck by the vehicle is expected to recover.

Meanwhile, all three Hendry County deputies involved have been put on paid administrative leave as the shooting investigation progresses.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
