On Thursday night in Pensacola, a teenage boy was fatally shot, leading to the arrest of two individuals, one of whom is a 14-year-old boy.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 2800 block of North 9th Avenue, where responding officers discovered the 15-year-old victim with a gunshot wound.

Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Pensacola Police Department indicated that detectives are still investigating the motive behind the shooting.

According to investigators, the fatal injury resulted from a single shot fired during the incident.

Following information provided by witnesses, law enforcement located both suspects in an apartment and subsequently arrested them based on statements and evidence gathered at the scene.

Authorities stated that the 14-year-old accused shooter, identified as Remington Crumbs, is currently detained at the Department of Juvenile Justice, facing a single count of murder.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old suspect, Rumariya Union, is held without bond at the Escambia County Jail on a felony charge of accessory after the fact, as per police reports.
