16-year-old Jayda Lewis killed in Parkway Village shooting

A shooting incident on Wednesday night in Parkway Village resulted in the death of a 16-year-old girl, as reported by the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Dispatch received the call just after 11 p.m., prompting officers to respond to an address on the 3300 block of Castleman Street, near Wooddale High School, according to MPD.
Officers at the scene found 16-year-old Jayda Lewis with a gunshot wound.
She was swiftly transported in critical condition to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, where Jayda succumbed to her injuries, as per police statements.
