All clear given after suspicious package found outside the US Supreme Court

Update: U.S. Capitol Police have issued an all-clear following the discovery of a suspicious package near the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The USCP concluded their investigation around noon, leading to the reopening of the area.

Road closures had been established at several locations, including East Capitol Street between First and Second Streets, Second Street between East Capitol Street and Constitution Avenue NE, and Maryland Avenue between First Street and Constitution Avenue NE.

These closures have now been lifted, and the USCP has advised that all Supreme Court staff and other personnel may return to the area.
