17-year-old Asir Boone wanted for mass shooting at SEPTA bus stop in Burholme

The U.S. Marshals have identified the fourth individual sought in connection with the recent mass shooting at a SEPTA bus stop in Philadelphia, which left eight teenagers injured.

Asir Boone, aged 17, is wanted for attempted murder and is considered armed and dangerous, according to officials.

The Marshals are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to Boone’s apprehension, with the reward to be promptly processed upon his arrest.

Boone is described as 5’6″ tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. His last known address is in the 500 block of West Manheim Street in the Germantown area of Philadelphia.

Additionally, he is known to frequent the Olney section of the city, as stated by the Marshals.

Asir Boone’s deadline to surrender has passed. We now urge the public to aid our investigation.

Additionally, we caution that anyone aiding Boone’s evasion will face legal consequences,” stated Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jermahd Carter, aged 19, was apprehended at a relative’s residence located on the 12000 block of Academy Road.

Carter was taken into custody without any complications after U.S. Marshals surrounded the residence. Earlier on Monday, law enforcement announced the arrests of two additional suspects involved in the shooting:

18-year-old Jamaal Tucker and 18-year-old Ahnile Buggs. Both individuals face multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses.

They are currently being held on bail exceeding $2 million.

According to police, gunfire erupted at approximately 3 p.m. on March 6 while multiple Northeast High School students were waiting for the bus at the intersection of Cottman and Rising Sun avenues.

The wounded students, aged between 15 and 17, sustained injuries. One of the victims, a 16-year-old boy, was shot nine times and required hospitalization in critical condition.

Police believe he was the intended target. Presently, all the victims are in stable condition. Surveillance footage released last week depicts three assailants exiting a blue Hyundai and opening fire.

That evening in Olney, law enforcement discovered two vehicles they believe were linked to the shooters, including the getaway car, both of which had been reported stolen.

According to court records, Buggs reached out to an inmate at SCI Pine Grove the day after the mass shooting to discuss another teenager who had been fatally shot two days prior.

Police have consistently stated that they are continuing to investigate any potential connection between the bus stop shooting and the killing of 17-year-old Imhotep Charter High School student Dayemen Taylor.

Taylor was shot the previous Monday while waiting at a SEPTA bus stop in Ogontz.

The incident also resulted in injuries to two other students and two bus passengers.
