Argument between multiple people leads to shooting and killing of 29-year-old Steven Mentzer killed in Kansas City

KCPD has identified the deceased victim from Sunday’s shooting as 29-year-old Steven Mentzer. There’s currently no update regarding the condition of the second victim or any potential person of interest in the case.

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a shooting homicide reportedly triggered by an altercation among several individuals.

The incident, reported by KCPD, occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday at a residence in the 7300 block of Park Road.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims with gunshot wounds. One was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and his condition remains undisclosed.

Regrettably, the other man was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was later identified on Sunday as 29-year-old Steven Mentzer by KCPD.
