55-year-old Ely Samuel Martinez found shot to death in Chicago’s Northwest Side
No suspects have been reported in custody.
A 55-year-old man was discovered shot to death on Saturday night in Chicago’s Northwest Side. Police found the man around 9:30 p.m. in the garage of a warehouse located in the 1800 block of N. Kostner Avenue.
He had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As of approximately 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, Cook County officials identified the victim as Ely Samuel Martinez, from Chicago.
No suspects have been reported in custody.
The investigation into the incident, classified as a homicide, is ongoing.
