47-year-old Matthew Wilkerson killed after shooting in Butler County
Sheriff Dobbs mentioned that a person of interest is in custody, and charges are pending.
An investigation is underway regarding a fatal shooting at a residence in Butler County.
Deputies and investigators responded to a call at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, in the 600 block of County Road 544 in eastern Butler County, regarding the deadly shooting.
According to Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs, the shooting appears to have originated from a family dispute, and all involved parties, including the shooter, are currently being interviewed by investigators.
Butler County Coroner Jim Akers stated that 47-year-old Matthew Allen Wilkerson of Dudley succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
Sheriff Dobbs mentioned that a person of interest is in custody, and charges are pending.
