Hector Camacho killed after shooting in Fern Creek

Officers also found three other men suffering gunshot wounds. These three victims are expected to recover.

Late Monday night, Hector Camacho was shot and killed in Fern Creek, as reported by the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Responding to a shooting report around 11:40 p.m., an LMPD Seventh Division officer arrived at the scene in the 5500 block of Overbrook Woods Place.

That’s the location of an apartment complex situated just north of Bardstown Road. Upon arrival, police discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

They administered life-saving measures before emergency medical services arrived.

Upon arrival, EMS pronounced the man dead. Additionally, officers discovered three other men with gunshot wounds, all of whom were transported to UofL Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

These three victims are expected to recover.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation, and as of now, there are no known suspects.
