Tarrin Dicks and Isaiah Crabb arrested for the murder of Trevin Dicks and Reggie Careyin in Springfield

Trevin Dicks, 21, and Reggie Carey, 19, died last night in Springfield’s second homicide in 2024.

A woman, 19-year-old Tarrin Dicks, and a man, 18-year-old Isaiah Crabb, were identified as suspects and arrested.

On Feb. 22, 2024, at 12:22 a.m., Springfield police officers responded to a call of shots heard in the area of 266 E. Erie. Officers found a possible crime scene in the roadway at the location.

At 12:36 a.m., officers responded to Cox South Hospital after Trevin Dicks, 21, and Reggie Carey, 19, both from Springfield, arrived with gunshot wounds. A short time later, Trevin Dicks and Carey died from their injuries.

Their families have been notified.

The Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit identified a woman, 19-year-old Tarrin Dicks, and a man, 18-year-old Isaiah Crabb, both from Springfield, as suspects in this case. Tarrin Dicks and Crabb were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail.

The case will be presented to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
