Suspect Bradley Jones in custody after shot and killed 2 persons at Thermal Polymer in Angleton

Update: Police have detained a suspect, and tragically, two individuals have been pronounced dead following reports of an active shooter at an industrial facility in Angleton, Texas, on Monday morning.

Two individuals have been hospitalized following reports of an active shooter at an industrial facility in Angleton, Texas, on Monday morning, as per police sources.

Although the shooter is still at large, city officials in Angleton stated that as of 9 a.m., the active shooting situation has been resolved.

However, a significant police presence remains in the 900 block of South Velasco Street. Angleton police received reports of an active shooter around 8:20 a.m. Upon arrival, two victims were discovered and airlifted to the hospital.

Their current conditions are undisclosed.

Authorities stated that the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Bradley Jones, had fled the scene.

It is believed that he may be driving a 2015 silver or blue Chevrolet Silverado 1500. “We are currently utilizing social media, reaching out to families, and endeavoring to gather additional information and details regarding today’s shooting,” stated Sgt. Budnick of the Angleton PD on Monday.

Police Chief Lupe Valdez reported that the shooting occurred at an industrial facility called Thermal Polymer. He mentioned that the suspect’s wife, whose identity has not been disclosed, is a former employee of the company.

Jones purportedly entered the building and reportedly held an employee at gunpoint before shooting the two victims.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and authorities are actively seeking surveillance footage. “At this juncture, the suspect is still at large.

We urge the public, if anyone has information about his whereabouts, to come forward,” stated Valdez. Police described Jones as having blond hair and blue eyes, with balding hair.

He is believed to weigh around 150 pounds and stand at 5 feet, 8 inches tall.

Jones is reportedly considered armed and dangerous. According to police, the genders of the two victims are male and female, but their age range has not been provided.

Angleton ISD stated that it initiated a “secure” mode in response to the active shooter threat and issued the following statement:

Earlier this morning, the City of Angleton reported an active shooter threat in the 900 block of South Velasco, which has since been resolved.

Out of an abundance of caution while the threat was active in the city, all Angleton ISD schools went into a “secure” mode, which is one of the safety Standard Response Protocols where a threat or hazard is outside of the school building.

During the “secure,” all students and staff were brought into the secure buildings, and outside doors were locked. School continued as normal inside the school building.

Again, all schools went into “secure” as a precautionary safety measure. Students and staff were safe.
