9 injured, including children and police officers in acid attack in London Clapham South

In London, a mother and her two young children were quickly transported to the hospital following a suspected acid attack, as confirmed by the police.

An investigation has been initiated after a corrosive substance was believed to have been thrown at the trio in Lessar Avenue, Clapham South.

The assailant fled the scene, prompting the Metropolitan Police to actively search for the individual.

As per the source, a traffic collision occurred in London at 7:25 pm on Lessar Avenue, Clapham Common South Side, SW4. Subsequently, a man assaulted the occupants in a car and threw acid.

Detective Superintendent Alexander Castle stated, “Officers are currently at the scene following this appalling incident.

Three victims—a woman and her two young children—have been hospitalized for treatment.

Three additional individuals, all adults, have also been taken to the hospital as they came to their aid. Updates on their conditions will be provided as soon as available.

Three police officers who responded to the incident have been taken to the hospital, with minor injuries believed at this time. While tests are ongoing to identify the substance, our current belief is that it is corrosive.
