36-year-old Gabriel Salazar-Lopez killed after shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, NC (January 21, 2024) – On Jan. 21, 2024, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Greensboro Police officers responded to 316 W. Meadowview Road in reference to a shooting.
Upon officer arrival, Gabriel Salazar-Lopez, 36, was found with life-threatening injuries in a gravel parking lot southwest of Bar Latino.
He was transported by ambulance to Moses Cone Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Next-of- kin was notified.
This is an ongoing investigation.

This is the city’s third homicide of 2024.
