15-year-old Brianna Higgins killed after shooting in Olathe
Officers at the scene assisted in bringing the teen to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead.
Update: The victim has been identified as 15-year-old Brianna Rachelle Higgins of Lawrence, Kansas. At this time, all involved parties have been identified and contacted.
A fatal shooting on Friday night claimed the life of a teenager in Olathe, sparking a police investigation.
Shortly before 11 p.m., the Olathe Police Department received notification that a 15-year-old Brianna Higgins had been transported to Olathe Medical Center with what seemed to be a gunshot wound.
Officers at the scene assisted in bringing the teen to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the shooting took place in the 16900 block of West 127th Street.
