20-year-old Isaiah Murray shot and killed near Roosevelt Elementary School in Dayton
Additionally, a stray bullet hit the Greater Dayton Recreation Center.
The individual shot and killed near a Dayton elementary school on Friday has been identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Murray, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. in a parking lot across the street from Roosevelt Elementary School.
Upon arrival, police discovered Murray deceased from a gunshot wound. Dayton Police, on-site, reported multiple shots fired.
As a precaution, both Roosevelt Elementary School and the adjacent Greater Dayton Recreation Center were placed on lockdown.
Additionally, a stray bullet hit the Greater Dayton Recreation Center.
