31-year-old Michael Edward Rivas dead after a double shooting in Pueblo
Another person was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
A fatal incident occurred on Pueblo’s east side Sunday afternoon, resulting in one man’s death and another’s recovery from a double shooting.
Police responded to a call at an address near Bradford Park on Catalpa Street around 3:15 p.m. that day.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to the hospital and is anticipated to recover.
A second victim, who eventually succumbed to injuries, arrived at the hospital, according to police.
The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office has named the deceased as 31-year-old Michael Edward Rivas from Pueblo.
Detectives are treating the death as a homicide.
