An investigation is underway regarding a Tuesday night shooting in Cicero that claimed the lives of two women, as authorities explore potential connections to the death of a man in a nearby park.

The incident occurred inside a residence in the 1800 block of South 48th Court around 7:45 p.m., according to Cicero police, and is believed to be domestically linked.

Responding to the scene, officers discovered two women, aged 19 and 29, with severe injuries.

Despite being transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, they did not survive their injuries.

Myeshia Newby, 19, has been identified as one of the victims by the Cook County Medical Examiner, while neighbors have named the other victim as Jessica Hughes, 29.
