36-year-old Harry Richard dead after New Year’s Eve shooting in Rayne
Authorities are urging any witnesses who left the scene to come forward and provide information.
Chief Carroll Stelly of the Rayne Police Department announced that on December 31, 2023, at 11:05 PM, the department responded to a shooting on Lyman Avenue in the 1000 block.
At the scene, 36-year-old HARRY L RICHARD JR from Carver Street, Rayne, was discovered with several critical gunshot wounds to his upper body.
He was transported to Oshner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are urging any witnesses who left the scene to come forward and provide information.
