22-year-old Jordan Johnson killed in drive-by shooting in Midfield

In Midfield, a drive-by shooting resulted in the tragic death of a young man.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday in the 1500 block of Griffin Drive.

According to Police Chief Jesse Bell, the victim was seated inside a vehicle outside a friend’s residence when another vehicle passed by and unleashed gunfire.

On Friday, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jordan Tyler Johnson, a 22-year-old resident of Adamsville.

The motive remains undisclosed, and no arrests have been executed. Chief Bell suspects the victim was deliberately targeted.
