Victims of Nashville, Tennessee tornado identified

The three individuals who lost their lives when a suspected tornado struck Madison on Saturday have been identified by Metro Nashville Police.

Joseph Dalton, 37, Floridema Gabriel Perez, 31, and her son, Anthony Elmer Mendez, 2, tragically perished in the storm.

According to authorities, Dalton was inside his mobile home on Nesbitt Lane when the force of the storm caused it to collapse onto Perez’s residence.

Perez’s 7-year-old son and Dalton’s 10-year-old son were present in their respective residences during the incident.

Both children sustained injuries and were taken to Vanderbilt Pediatrics for medical attention.

Arlan Burnham was one of the victims of the preliminary EF-3 tornado in Clarksville, TN. He unfortunately did not survive this tragic situation.

Mayor Freddie O’Connell has declared a state of emergency for Metro and Davidson counties. First responders are actively engaged in reaching challenging locations across the county, and our Emergency Operations Center is fully operational, according to a statement from O’Connell.

Both NEO and the Nashville Fire Department are present on the scene, urging people to steer clear of the area and avoid approaching power lines due to substantial damage.

Metro Police have reported multiple downed power lines in the Gallatin North / OHB area.
