Authorities report that following a shooting in Mason County on Friday night, one man has lost his life, and another has sustained injuries.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office received a shooting call in the Lewisburg area around 10:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 32-year-old Justin Mitchell and 45-year-old Ernest Nickell, who had sustained injuries.
Nickell was subsequently airlifted to the University of Cincinnati hospital for treatment.
As of now, there have been no arrests linked to the incident.
However, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest who was present in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.
A social media post is seeking information about an incident, specifically regarding a girl named Courtney Williams. She was reportedly with the individual when the incident occurred, and there is uncertainty about her involvement.
The post mentions that she allegedly stole the victim’s truck after he was shot and left him at the scene. The plea for help includes a picture of her.
