11-year-old Milan Kyle arrested for the murder of 36-year-old Kameran Bedsole

Update: The mother and brother of an 11-year-old girl, who stands accused of the murder of a 36-year-old man, have both been taken into custody.

The 11-year-old was charged with first-degree murder on Nov. 29 for her alleged involvement in the Nov. 13 shooting of Kameran Bledsoe in New Iberia.

Subsequently, the girl’s 15-year-old brother was apprehended on Dec. 5 in Houston, facing one count of first-degree murder.

Formerly residing in Iberia Parish, he was transferred to the Jackson Parish Juvenile Detention Center.

The children’s mother, Sabrina Washington, 40, was also arrested on Dec. 5, on two counts of accessory after the fact, with her bond set at $400,000.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the apprehension of an 11-year-old, Milan Kyle, on murder charges.

The girl is accused of fatally shooting 36-year-old Kameran Bedsole on November 14 in the 4700 block of Jasper Road in New Iberia.

Bedsole was discovered with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

The arrest of the girl occurred on November 29, and she has been booked into the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center on one count of first-degree murder.

Authorities anticipate more arrests as detectives proceed with their investigation.
