10-year-old Kendrick McDonald killed in Thanksgiving Day shooting, father Will McDonald arrested

Authorities in Omaha, Nebraska, are examining the Thanksgiving shooting incident resulting in the death of a 10-year-old boy.
Responding to a report of a shooting around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers arrived at the location of North 31st Avenue and Nicholas Street.
They discovered 10-year-old Kendrick McDonald with a gunshot wound.
Emergency personnel swiftly transported the boy to Nebraska Medicine, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have taken Kendrick’s father, 47-year-old Will McDonald, into custody on charges of criminal homicide, use of a weapon, and prohibited possession of a firearm.
